Try A Guided Walking Cruise
For avid walkers, the Irish countryside provides a truly wonderful experience for a walking holiday. Imagine the sensation of fresh air gently awakening your senses as your eyes feast onto undisturbed flora and fauna. Hike in the Mountains
If hill walking is more your thing, the Slieve Bloom mountains are well worth a visit. Situated among the flat plains of the Irish midlands, they strike a beautiful pose, rising to a maximum height of 527 metres and are visible in many of the surrounding counties. The extensive growth of lavender gives a lovely purple hue to the mountainside when they appear in the distance.
Walk The Pilgrim Path
The Pilgrim Path is an ancient walking route of spiritual significance where you can appreciate Ireland’s medieval Christian heritage. "An tSlí Mór," translated as "the Great Road," crosses early historic Ireland from east to west where the modern Pilgrim Path winds along the Esker Riada. Stroll along and experience these mystical trails where the Pilgrims once ventured in Old Medieval Ireland. Take in the stunning views of green meadows and bogland countryside, miles away from the busy city.
